The aim of MUSLIM FUNERAL SOCIETY is to provide financial assistance to a member, his/her spouse and dependents in the event of bereavement in the family.
Muslim Funeral Society Service is a Savings Society and is not an Insurance plan of any sort.
Muslim Funeral Society is not a charity therefore is not required to hold AGM's nor disclose any account information.
Administration members can only be appointed by the current President to help assist with running of this saving society.
Names of Nominated Representatives are listed on this website, they can provide you information about this service and assist you with completing paperwork and setting up payments.
Any changes to this agreement will only be effective if posted to this website.
It is the responsibility of the Members to advise Muslim Funeral Service of any changes to the details provided. The Members agrees to be contacted by Muslim Funeral Service or its nominated representative using the details provided.
Muslim Funeral Society will only pay out the maximum of £3,5000 (Kirklees burial rates only). This will cover the costs of a vaulted grave, coffin, boards and transport. The coffin, boards and transport are provided through Huddersfield Muslim Burial Council (HMBC). If Members would like to use a alternative funeral director, they are welcome to do so however Muslim Funeral Society will still only pay out maximum of £3,500 - any difference in cost will need to be covered by Members.
If a Member passes away abroad and is buried abroad Muslim Funeral Society will only pay out a maximum of £1500.00 to a nominated family member.
Your next of kin will make decisions regarding the Ghusl facility and Cemetery where necessary.
Under all circumstance the financial liability of the society and its mangers/administrators will be limited to the total amount of contributed into the society’s fund. If the society’s funds are depleted the President/Administrators are NOT responsible to replenish any funds.
In the event that the society’s funds are depleted it is the responsibility of all the Members to collectively make up any deficit by paying an extra annual fee for that calendar year.
